Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Physician Assistant, you will deliver high-quality patient-centered care across clinic and on-site settings. You will have the autonomy to practice at the top of your license, supported by clear pathways, efficient workflows, and fewer administrative barriers. Backed by the scale of a national health system, you will work with proven care models, advanced tools, and a strong network of APP peers. You will have access to system-wide clinical resources and meaningful opportunities to influence care decisions, along with professional development, system-wide learning, and APP-led leadership pathways that support continued growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing comprehensive occupational health care by performing physical exams, reviewing medical histories, diagnosing work-related and acute conditions, and creating evidence-based treatment and return-to-work plans. • Managing the full scope of APP practice by ordering tests, prescribing medications within state and federal guidelines, performing approved procedures, and coordinating care across the continuum. • Delivering patient-centered education by translating medical information clearly, preparing patients for self-management, and offering guidance on prevention, lifestyle support, and follow-up care. • Collaborating across disciplines by partnering with physicians, nurses, employers, and specialty services, communicating updates on workers compensation cases, and participating in admission, transfer, and discharge planning when appropriate. • Ensuring clinical quality and safety by documenting accurately, meeting regulatory requirements, utilizing technology for effective communication, and serving as a resource for patients, colleagues, and community partners.
What qualifications you will need:
• High School Graduate or GED preferred. • Graduate of Technical or Vocational school desired. • BLS required upon hire. • AHA or Red Cross Breath Alcohol Testing, Drug Screen, Collector, Spirometry, and Audiology preferred. • Medical Office Assistance with Medical Terminology, computer skills, and typing 50 words per minute.
