Medical Director (Addiction Medicine / Behavioral Health Physician)

New Season Treatment Centers is a national leader in addiction treatment and recovery services, helping individuals overcome Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) through Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), medical care, and behavioral health services.

We are seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership, medical oversight, and physician supervision for our outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in Richmond, Virginia.

 

What You'll Do

  • Provide medical oversight for patient care and treatment services

  • Conduct admission, annual, and follow-up medical evaluations

  • Manage medication orders and supervise MAT treatment protocols

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nursing staff

  • Participate in treatment team meetings and quality improvement initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with DEA, SAMHSA, HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, state, and federal regulations

  • Support physician recruitment, training, and clinical staff development

  • Serve as a clinical resource for addiction medicine and behavioral health best practices

 

Qualifications

✔ Active Virginia Physician License (MD or DO)

✔ Active DEA Registration

✔ Active Medicare and Medicaid credentialing

✔ Experience in Addiction Medicine, Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Behavioral Health, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related field preferred

✔ Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP), HIPAA, and regulatory compliance

✔ Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
