At Atlantic Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated per diem Physical Therapist with serial casting experience to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals at Goryeb Childrens Hospitals outpatient therapy team. The hours would vary during the week, from 8a-4p. Our core values encompass patient-centered care and ensuring our staff are well taken care of. The Team member will be responsible for providing serial casting therapy, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with the positions qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. The Team member will ensure and provide development, quality improvement, problem-solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary manner.

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Performs initial evaluation examination.
  2. Provides and prescribes plans of care consisting of corrective therapeutic exercise.
  3. Performs manual treatments consisting of soft tissue techniques, joint mobilizations, and many more.
  4. Supervises and interacts with support staff and maintain proper documentation.
  5. Evaluates and establishes a plan of care and treats patients accordingly.
  6. Documents patient care and charges appropriately, and documents the course of patient care, including progress made and the ongoing need for treatment.
  7. Works with other professionals in an effective manner.
  8. Provides clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  9. Evaluates patient response to treatment and provides feedback to the interdisciplinary team.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university is required. New Jersey Physical Therapy License is required. Preference given to those who have 1-3 years of pediatric experience. Preference given to those who have experience in Serial Casting.
