Job Title: Physical Therapist – Acute Care Hospital
Location: Lubbock, TX
Shift Details: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours | 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Orientation: 40 Hours (Non-Billable)
Work Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Active Physical Therapy License required (Texas or compact eligibility as applicable)
- Minimum 1 year experience preferred (first-time travelers accepted)
- Strong knowledge of acute care rehabilitation practices
- Ability to evaluate and treat hospitalized patients independently
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced hospital environment
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in an acute care hospital setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform functional mobility and therapeutic interventions
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams
- Document evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes accurately
- Educate patients and families on mobility and recovery plans
- Support safe discharge planning and rehabilitation goals
- Maintain compliance with hospital safety and clinical standards
