Responsibilities:
- Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.
Establishes, revises and evaluates a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.
Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the condition of the patient.
Oversees the activities of the physical therapist assistants, students and other support personnel.
Oral and written communication and documentation is professional and timely. - Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
- Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
- Regular and prompt attendance
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
- Related duties as assigned
Additional Information:
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an approved program in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama Required
- New graduates accepted, experienced therapists Preferred
- PT - Physical Therapist licensed with the State of Alabama Upon Hire Preferred or
- PT - Physical Therapist temporary license with the State of Alabama Upon Hire Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS within 30 Days Required
- Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
