    Are you an experienced Physical Therapist looking to practice in a spacious, modern facility where you can make a meaningful impact on patients' lives? Join the dedicated rehabilitation team at the STAR Clinic with BJC in South County!

    In this full-time role, you'll provide specialized patient care with a focus on pelvic floor rehabilitation and lymphedema treatment.

    Schedule

    • Monday–Friday
    • Two late evenings per week, ending at 6:30 p.m.
    • No Weekends or Holidays

    Overview

    Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.

    The Center for Advanced Medicine - South County is a new outpatient facility, jointly owned by Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, that is under constructions in South St. Louis County. The building, scheduled to be open in late Spring 2016, is located near the Siteman Cancer Center at I-55 and Butler Hill Rd. This new, two-story, approximately 84,500 square foot outpatient facility will include outpatient surgery, imaging, lab, therapy and Washinton University physician subspeciality offices including the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Opthalmology, Surgery and OB/GYN. The surgery suite includes two operating rooms and two minor procedure rooms. Imaging Services will include plain film, CT, MRI and screening mammography.


    Preferred Qualifications

    Role Purpose

    Provides skilled physical therapy services to patients including all aspects of evaluation and treatment.

    Responsibilities

    • Establishes treatment plan and provides treatment, considering discharge needs; expected discharge functional status; and appropriate equipment and supplies.
    • Educates, collaborates with, and conferences with patients, families, and other health care providers; making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed.
    • Delegates to assistants, techs, and students through written and verbal communication including determining the skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet the needs of the patient.
    • Completes documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
    • Provides assessment, reassessment, and/or consultations for Physical Therapy Services.
