    Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care / ED Support

    Palm Springs, California
    Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (January 30, 2026 – May 1, 2026)
    Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950.59
    Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | 40 Hours

    Position Overview

    Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an assignment at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA.

    The Physical Therapist will provide evaluation and treatment services to patients, focusing on restoring mobility, improving function, and supporting recovery. The role includes working with patients across acute care settings, including potential exposure to emergency department cases.

    Clinical Coverage Areas

    Therapists may treat patients with:

    • Acute injuries and post-surgical conditions
    • Mobility and functional impairments
    • Neurological and orthopedic conditions
    • Emergency and inpatient rehabilitation needs

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform patient evaluations and functional assessments
    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals
    • Administer therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques
    • Utilize appropriate modalities with understanding of indications/contraindications
    • Educate patients and families on recovery and home programs
    • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment accordingly
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation

    Required Qualifications

    Active California Physical Therapist License
    BLS Certification (AHA)
    Minimum 1 year of PT experience
    Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Acute care or hospital experience
    • Experience in fast-paced or ED-related environments
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    Scheduling & Assignment Details

    • Monday – Friday schedule
    • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM shifts
    • 40 hours guaranteed per week
    • Standard 5x8-hour schedule

    Compliance Requirements

    Candidates must complete:

    • Active PT license and BLS certification
    • Full onboarding including health screenings, drug screen, and background check

    • Candidates must check in with HR onsite on first day
    • Timekeeping is employee responsibility (clock in/out system)
    • Parking available in employee lot
    • All onboarding requirements must be completed prior to start
