Position Overview
A healthcare facility in southeastern Arizona is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its inpatient Med/Surg team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy services to patients across acute and inpatient settings. The position includes weekend and holiday rotation coverage and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence
- Provide patient and caregiver education, including home exercise programs and safety strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on care planning and discharge coordination
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Adapt treatment approaches based on patient progress and clinical findings
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Physical Therapy license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in rehabilitation or acute care settings
- Exposure to inpatient, outpatient, or acute rehab environments
