Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Weekday availability for onboarding/orientation.
Weekend Requirement: to work 6 weekend shifts per quarter in acute care and/or inpatient rehab settings.
Facility Coverage: Provide coverage support to adult acute care and adult inpatient rehabilitation facilities across the Charlotte Metro area (Pineville, Mount Holly, Concord, University and Charlotte)
Minor holiday requirement -Two per year holiday
Major holiday requirement - One per year
Pay Range
$41.10 - $61.65
Job Description
This position will support four Atrium Health Inpatient facilities and three Acute Care facilities:
Carolinas Rehabilitation Charlotte
Carolinas Rehabilitation Mount Holly
Carolinas Rehabilitation Northeast
Pineville Rehabilitation Hospital
Atrium Health Pineville
Atrium Health Mercy
Atrium Health University

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday.
Ability to lift:
Up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist
Up to 10 lbs. from waist to overhead
Carry up to 40 lbs. at waist height for reasonable distances
Ability to push/pull up to 30 lbs. of force.
Ability to assist with patient transfers, including sliding transfers of up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
Repetitive use of hands including grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine motor manipulation.
Functional use of senses and intelligible speech for effective communication.
Ability to demonstrate exercises and therapeutic activities to patients and caregivers.
Exposure to electrical, chemical, blood, and body fluid hazards; must wear protective equipment as required.
May require travel between sites and exposure to road and weather hazards.
Work environment is primarily indoors with occasional outdoor exposure.
May make home visits as part of patient care delivery.

Provides direct physical therapy services to patients across the age spectrum as appropriate. Evaluates, interprets initial assessment, establishes an individualized plan of care, and executes appropriate treatment with emphasis on quality of care and continuity of services. May provide physical therapy services under direct access as allowable with state(s) licensure. Collaborates with other disciplines and specialties, along with patients and families, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
