Physical Therapist

High School 1 Position

Qualifications Required Valid License as a Physical Therapist. Successful experience as a physical therapist. Experience implementing direct physical therapy services including gross motor and/or physical disabilities which will allow them to access the school safely for students within sub-separate and inclusion classes. Ability to relate, communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.

Qualifications Preferred Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Program Managers and Program Coordinator to provide direct physical therapy services including gross motor and/or physical disabilities which will allow them to access the school safely services to students on IEP's.
  • Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
  • Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
  • Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator.
  • Write end of summer progress reports for each student served.

Duration Program Administration and Implementation: 103 hours total to include the following:

  • Professional In-service Days: Date TBD, 3 hours.
  • 20 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 6 - August 6, 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Stipend: $40 an hour, $4120 total, 20 days, 5 hours, 1 in-service at 3 hours.
