We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient physical therapy team in West Phoenix. This is a great opportunity for a motivated PTA who values collaboration, high-quality patient care, and professional growth. You will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans, support patients in reaching their rehabilitation goals, and help maintain a safe and supportive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
Carry out physical therapy treatment plans in compliance with state practice act and board guidelines.
Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
Respond to patient questions and concerns with professionalism and compassion.
Serve as an integral member of the treatment team for assigned cases.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and organizational policies.
Assist with training and mentoring Physical Therapy Technicians.
Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
Education & Certification
Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program (required).
Current Arizona PTA certification (required).
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, practices, and equipment use.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and infection control standards.
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Ability to recognize safety and fall risks in patients.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse patients and colleagues.
Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical documentation.
Physical ability to assist patients, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform kneeling, squatting, and overhead lifting.
Work Environment
Outpatient clinic setting with occasional community-based travel.
Requires sitting, standing, and assisting patients with transfers.
