We have an immediate need for a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant.   • Pay: $26-32/hour depending on experience PLUS productivity bonus, which can add up to $6.87/hr ON TOP of your base rate!
  • Perks: up to $3000 sign on bonus and relocation assistance
  • Schedule: Flextime (flexibility may depend on current staffing) between 7am-7pm Monday-Friday
  • Caseload/Productivity expectations: 12 visits per 8 hour day.

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team in Waxahachie! As a vital member of our rehabilitation staff, you will work collaboratively with licensed Physical Therapists to provide high-quality care and support to patients on their journey to recovery.

  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans and evaluating patient progress
  • Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional training
  • Educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques and home programs
  • Apply therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive atmosphere for patients and colleagues

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Texas state license or license eligible as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
  • Proficiency in exercise prescription and manual therapy techniques
  • Experience in sports rehabilitation preferred
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for physical therapy and genuine commitment to patient care
  • Outgoing and energetic personality with a positive attitude
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation equipment
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and treatment plans
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a determination to achieve professional objectives
  • Empathetic approach to patient care and ability to motivate others
