A well-established senior living community in Shelbyville, Kentucky is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its in-house therapy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Physical Therapist Assistant who is passionate about helping seniors regain mobility, build confidence, and maintain their independence while making a meaningful difference in residents' lives every day.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents in improving strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and functional independence
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Accurately document treatments and resident responses
- Encourage and motivate residents throughout their rehabilitation journey
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members
- Promote safe, compassionate, and resident-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Passion for serving the senior population
- Long-term care or senior living experience preferred, but not required
