Job Description:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide high-quality care to patients in their homes, supporting them through their health journey. You will promote Elara Carings mission, deliver therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, and assist patients in using prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices safely. This role ensures adherence to the Plan of Care and State Practice Act guidelines, while maintaining patient safety and quality standards.
- Provide direct therapy services under a licensed Physical Therapists supervision.
- Verify and follow the Plan of Care and physician orders before each visit.
- Instruct patients and caregivers in therapy home programs and use of assistive devices.
- Adhere to all policies, administrative procedures, and quality care standards.
- Lift and transfer patients safely; perform physically demanding responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license for the state of practice.
- Minimum six months of relevant experience preferred.
- Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within coverage area.
