Job Description:
At Elara Caring, Physical Therapist Assistants contribute to delivering high-quality care in patients' homes by implementing treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include direct therapy services, following the Plan of Care, reporting status changes, and instructing patients and caregivers in safe use of assistive devices and therapy home programs.
- Promotes Elara Carings philosophy and ensures quality of care.
- Performs therapy services in accordance with physician-certified standards.
- Follows established Plan of Care and communicates changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Adheres to State Practice Act Guidelines and established clinical standards.
- Provides instruction to patients and families regarding therapy programs and devices.
- Requires physical ability to lift, move, and transfer patients.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of practice.
- 6+ months of experience preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within the branch coverage area.
- Must have a dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and auto insurance.
- Able to lift 50100 lbs and work irregular hours as needed.
