Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) | Oakland, CA

We’re seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract assignment in Oakland, California. This role offers the opportunity to support patients in regaining mobility, strength, and independence while working closely with a licensed Physical Therapist.

Position Details

• Location: Oakland, CA

• Schedule: 5x8s (40 hours per week)

• Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant License (California)

• Current BLS certification

• Must meet pre-employment credentialing requirements (background check, drug screen, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans

• Provide therapy interventions to improve patient mobility and function

• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records

• Educate patients and families on exercises and therapy techniques

• Collaborate with the rehab team to ensure comprehensive patient care
