Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides hands‑on rehabilitation services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in an acute care hospital setting. This role supports patients with therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfer training, balance training, and functional mobility to improve strength, independence, and safe discharge outcomes.

This opportunity is open to new‑graduate PTAs and experienced Physical Therapist Assistants, offering a collaborative, supportive environment focused on learning, teamwork, and high‑quality patient care within inpatient and hospital‑based rehabilitation services.

• Assist patients with therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, balance activities, and functional mobility to improve strength and independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe mobility, care coordination, and discharge planning
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Provide patient and family education on mobility techniques, assisting devices, and home exercise programs
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes to the Physical Therapist
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
