Teach and train students to become well-qualified, compassionate Physical Therapist Assistants.

Teach it Differently. Stay True to your Specialty.

You became a PTA or PT to help people move better-but what if you could shape an entire generation of PTAs who think beyond the textbook?

At Pima Medical Institute, we're looking for a Physical Therapist/Physical Therapist Instructor who's ready to practice their specialty in a new way-not just treating patients, but transforming how future PTAs learn to treat theirs.

Here, you won't leave your clinical expertise behind. You'll lean into it harder than ever-mentoring students, elevating our associate degree program, and infusing real-world insight into every lab and lecture.

Location: Tucson Campus

Full-Time: 40 hours

Day Cohort: 8 am to 5 pm

You'll be responsible for:

  • Training students to become well-qualified, compassionate allied health professionals
  • Bringing your hands-on experience into the classroom and clinical settings
  • Shaping curriculum quality and student growth from enrollment to graduation

If you're a PTA or PT who's:

  • Ready to innovate within your specialty
  • Looking for deep career meaning beyond direct patient care
  • Excited by teaching, mentoring, and leading change in education

…then this isn't just a job change. It's a career evolution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA or PT program
  • 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical experience as a PTA or PT
  • Documented contemporary expertise in your teaching responsibility and knowledge of the content delivery method
  • Active PT or PTA license, registration, or certification in the state where the program is located (any U.S. jurisdiction accepted unless state practice act states otherwise)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

About the Company

P

Pima Medical Institute

Pima Medical Institute started changing lives in 1972 when Richard Luebke Sr. and his wife, JoAnn, brought to life their dream of providing quality medical career education. They opened the first campus in Tucson, Arizona, preparing students to become nursing assistants. Eventually Richard Luebke Jr. and Mark Luebke took the helm, introducing more programs and opening additional campus locations to meet the country’s growing demand for quality healthcare professionals.

In 2015, Fred Freedman became Pima Medical’s President and Chief Executive Officer after serving the college as Chief Operating Officer. He has been with Pima Medical since June of 2000. He’s leading Pima Medical into the future, with growth, innovation and a keen eye on what healthcare providers need in great employees. We encourage you to become part of the Pima Medical Institute family, where you can help make a difference in the lives of our students today and educate future professionals.

As our community of students continues to grow, so does our community of talented staff. We truly believe that our people are the heart of our organization, and as we grow, we continue to hold ourselves accountable to the values that support those people.
