Physical Therapist Assistant

Build your Physical Therapist Assistant career in a highly respected outpatient orthopedic clinic featuring 6 private treatment rooms, a fully equipped gym, and a 12-week structured mentorship program under a PT leader with 25+ years of experience (Kathy) designed to help you confidently build your caseload in a practice serving the community for 30+ years. Located in Cobleskill, NY along NY-7, you’ll enjoy a welcoming small-town setting near SUNY Cobleskill, with easy access to the Capital Region and abundant outdoor recreation that supports a strong work-life balance. 

Salary: $30.00 to $35.00 Hourly (commensurate with experience)  

Status: Full Time (40hrs per week)

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, You’ll Achieve Success By:

• Assisting in evaluating clients’ daily living skills and capacities to determine the extent of abilities and limitations
• Assisting patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment, including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, and activities of daily living
• Observing patients during treatments and reporting observations to the Physical Therapist
• Communicating with staff and other healthcare team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for treatment planning and modifications

Physical Therapist Assistant Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
• Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice in New York.
• CPR and first aid certification required
• Recent graduates and experienced Physical Therapist Assistants are encouraged to apply
