Acute Physical Therapist Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist. • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional ADL (Activities of Daily Living) activities. • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising therapist. • Educate patients and families on exercises and techniques to support recovery. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, physicians, and occupational therapists. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. • Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions. • Adhere to infection control and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) • PT A (Physical Therapy Assistant) or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) licensure within 6 months • Temporary and licensure within 6 months • Associates Physical Therapy preferred • 1-year Physical Therapy Assistant experience
