Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
Mid America Rehab is seeking a full-time or part-time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to work in our patient population from youth to adulthood. We are looking for a caring and ambitious therapist to offer exceptional care in a family-friendly environment. Our goal is to help our patients achieve their greatest potential.

Qualifications:
Education: Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT) Licensure: Must be currently licensed, certified, and/or credentialed, as required in the state of Missouri
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Must have general knowledge of conditions and treatment principles for a diverse number and types of diagnoses • The Physical Therapist Assistant must have excellent organization, time management, and communication skills -both verbal and written
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:
Patient care may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing. Must demonstrate competency in equipment used for the delivery of modalities. Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of a physician order, the Physical Therapist Assistant provides direct rehab care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Mid America Rehab standards.
• Implements a treatment program for patients to improve movement and manage their pain • Ensures patients are meeting their treatment goals in collaboration with the PT, patient, and caregivers, when applicable • Implements the designated treatment plan and completes all related documentation and record keeping regarding these services • Functions under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapists and Clinic Director(s) • Makes independent decisions when circumstances warrant • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information • Performs related duties as assigned
Position Includes:
Patient care for all ages in outpatient settings, and inpatient and home settings as needed.
