Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role includes implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and supporting patients in improving mobility, function, and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, restore function, and promote healing
  • Provide skilled therapy services in accordance with physician orders under PT supervision
  • Communicate patient updates, needs, and referrals to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Implement and modify treatment plans under PT direction
  • Measure and document patient motor function, strength, and performance
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust interventions as appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
  • Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehabilitation

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
  • SNF/long-term care experience preferred
  • Knowledge of current treatment practices
  • Familiarity with Net Health electronic documentation system preferred
