NATURE OF WORK This is technical and operational work supporting management and the accreditation of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) within the United States Senate. The position works closely with the Associate Director of Operations and Deputy Director to ensure compliance with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 while also supporting the operations of Senate Security's programs and secure facilities. The primary areas of responsibility include routine inspections, updates, and construction of secure spaces. Additional work includes supporting cleared facilities management, coordination of secure communications capabilities, and assisting the Office with technical and communications security matters. The position requires sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced and high-visibility environment. The incumbent will routinely interact with Senators and their staff, security professionals across the Intelligence Community, and senior government officials. The position plays a critical role in ensuring the Senate can securely conduct oversight, legislative, and national security activities involving classified information. Work is bound by Secretary of the Senate policies and procedures; the U.S. Senate Handbook; and the Senate Ethics Manual, but requires independent judgment in setting priorities and handling assignments.
