Firebird AST is hiring for an onsite Secret cleared Physical Security (PHYSEC) Analyst in Washington, D.C. to provide support for physical security policy development, planning, assessment, risk management, and program administration at a military service headquarters level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIRED
Active Secret Clearance
Minimum of 5 years documented qualifying experience are required or
10 years of documented experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all required government system access and security clearances necessary to perform assigned duties
Must comply with all applicable government policies, procedures, and requirements governing access to government facilities, information systems, and databases.
Demonstrated experience performing staff officer, action officer, or equivalent functions supporting physical security programs at a military service headquarters, federal agency headquarters, or comparable organization.
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Physical access control
Access control systems
Identity and credential management
Critical asset protection
Physical security assessments
Security engineering design
Interagency Security Committee (ISC) standards and Risk Management Process (RMP)
Facility security and infrastructure protection
Physical security risk assessment methodologies
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using Microsoft 365 and DoD365 collaboration environments.
Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate complex technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical writing skills with the ability to prepare policies, reports, briefing materials, correspondence, and executive-level communications.
Ability to draft documents that effectively direct action, provide guidance, and explain policy objectives and regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across multiple disciplines and organizational levels.
Experience facilitating collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups and building consensus on security-related initiatives.
Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain access to government information systems and databases, including:
MPICAM
ISMS
Modified Infrastructure Survey Tool (MIST)
Interagency Security Committee Compliance System (ISC-CS)
Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN)
