Drought School, a small and close-knit school district in Wisconsin, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Physical Education Teacher to join our phenomenal team. This position involves teaching physical education classes on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Despite being a part-time position (0.50 - 0.60 FTE), this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a supportive educational environment and make a positive impact on the lives of 84 students in grades 4K through 8th grade.

Responsibilities:

Teach Physical Education: Conduct engaging and interactive physical education classes for students in grades 4K through 8th grade on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, focusing on the development of motor skills, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.

Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to foster a positive and inclusive school culture. Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide events to contribute to the overall success of the school.

Student Progress Assessment: Assess and evaluate students'' progress in physical education through observation, assignments, and periodic evaluations. Provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and development.

Qualifications:

Education: Possess a bachelor''s degree in Physical Education or a related field. A valid teaching license/certification in Physical Education is required.

Experience: Prior experience in teaching physical education to elementary and middle school students is preferred. Experience in athletic directing or organizing sports events is desirable.

Passion for Physical Education: Demonstrate a genuine passion for promoting physical fitness, wellness, and teamwork among students. Have a deep understanding of child development and age-appropriate physical activities.

Organization and Communication Skills: Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage athletic events, communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members, and maintain accurate records. Proficient computer skills are necessary.

Team Player: Possess a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators. Show a willingness to actively contribute to the school community and support colleagues.

Creativity and Flexibility: Demonstrate the ability to create innovative and engaging lesson plans suitable for different grade levels and learning styles. Adapt to changing circumstances and be flexible in adjusting teaching strategies.
