Position Type: Full-Time

Grades: 6-12 (Middle School and High School)

Starting: 2026-2027 School Year

The Juda School District is seeking an energetic, organized, and skilled educator to join our team as a Middle School/High School Physical Education and Health Teacher. In our district, we pride ourselves on a tight-knit, collaborative environment where every teacher can make a massive impact on our students'' lifelong wellness.

The Role

You will lead physical education and health courses for students in grades 6 through 12, helping them develop healthy habits, physical literacy, and a team-first mindset. Because our district values a seamless wellness curriculum from kindergarten through graduation, you will work closely with our elementary physical education teacher to align goals, share best practices, and build a unified K-12 program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instruction: Deliver high-quality, engaging physical education and health lessons tailored to the developmental needs of middle and high school students.

  • Curriculum & Assessment: Utilize strong pedagogical skills to design structured, data-driven units that motivate all students, regardless of their athletic starting point.

  • Organization: Manage gym spaces, equipment, health classroom logistics, and grading efficiently to maximize instructional time.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate regularly with the elementary PE department to ensure curriculum continuity and smooth student transitions.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • Valid Wisconsin Teaching License in Physical Education and Health (or eligibility for immediate licensure).

  • Strong Pedagogical Skills: A proven ability to break down complex movements, manage diverse classrooms, and make health education relatable and impactful.

  • Excellent Organizational Skills: Highly structured in lesson planning, equipment management, and grading systems.

Preferred Bonus

  • Adaptive PE (APE) Certification or Experience: An understanding of how to modify and adapt activities for students with diverse physical and developmental needs is a major plus for this role.

Beyond the Classroom: Leadership Opportunities

We are looking for a candidate who wants to embed themselves in the Juda Panther community. This position comes with excellent opportunities to expand your leadership footprint, including:

  • Coaching & Advising: Opportunities to lead or assist with various middle and high school athletic teams and student clubs.

  • Athletic Director Duties: For the right candidate, there is potential to take on Athletic Director responsibilities, managing scheduling, event logistics, and department leadership.

To Apply: Please submit your application materials-including your resume, cover letter, transcripts, and letters of recommendation-via WECAN. For questions regarding the position, please contact the Juda School District administrative office.
