Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a PHP Support Engineer for a Contract with a client in Raleigh, NC (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing production support, resolving application issues, and optimizing performance of web applications in live environments.
Rate Range: $41/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
PHP Support Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Monitor production systems, triage issues, and resolve PHP application incidents within defined SLAs.
Diagnose and fix bugs in PHP codebases, deploying patches with minimal disruption to live environments.
Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
Review code for performance, security, and quality improvements.
Support database operations by writing and optimizing SQL queries and resolving DB-related issues.
Troubleshoot and maintain RESTful API integrations and update documentation such as runbooks and incident logs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in PHP development or production support roles.
Basic hands-on experience with PHP, SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and troubleshooting web applications and APIs.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and work with monitoring tools like Splunk or similar platforms.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $45.00 per hour
