Job Summary:

What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience
- National phlebotomy certification (ASCP, AMT, ASPT, or NHA)
- Strong leadership, organization, and people skills
- Confidence, reliability, and a calm approach in any situation

A Day in the Life:
- Greet patients and collect blood samples with care and confidence
- Label and handle specimens to ensure top-notch accuracy
- Keep workspaces clean and organized
- Deliver a positive experience-even when patients are nervous
- Follow safety and infection control procedures like a pro
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required
- Experience: One year of relevant phlebotomy experience, preferred
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program, preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Phlebotomy Certification - ASCP, NHA, ASPT, AMT or a national accrediting agency approved by Laboratory Senior Leadership; required
- Phlebotomy Certification - ASCP, NHA, ASPT, AMT or a national accrediting agency approved by Laboratory Senior Leadership (Phlebotomy/Medical Laboratory Assistant certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Failure to do so will result in termination of employment.)
Additional Skills Required:
- Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform full range of laboratory tasks
- Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with medical staff regarding laboratory procedures and results
- Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations
- Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, hospital staff and the public
- Ability to follow written protocols
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate clearly
