Based in Greater Milton, this position supports and travels to the following sites: Braintree, Dorchester, Quincy, Hyde Park, Middleboro, Milton and Randolph.
The Phlebotomy Supervisor, Patient Service Centers oversees and is responsible for staffing and the daily operations of the Patient Service
Centers (PSCs) and in-office phlebotomy sites that are managed by Beth Israel Lahey Phlebotomy Services and that are assigned to the Phlebotomy Supervisor.
In this role, you will oversee and manage a team of PSC Phlebotomists and PSC Float Phlebotomists who perform specimen collections, provide exceptional customer service, and are the face and voice of the BILH Laboratories to patients in the Patient Service Centers and in office phlebotomy sites. Training, competency, collection station set up, supply maintenance and staffing are assignments for the
Phlebotomy Supervisor. The Phlebotomy Supervisor maintains excellent communication and working relationships with internal and external clients. They provide consistent quality service to our customers and ensure that employee morale is maintained at the highest level.

Job Responsibilities:
Ensure adequate staffing and efficient, effective workflow for outpatient, off-site collection stations, and Inpatient Phlebotomy to meet clinical and provider demands Drive quality improvement initiatives, continuously looking for ways to improve department performance, service, and employee morale Training and ensure competency for new employees, nursing and medical students in the area of expertise Technical resource for difficult Phlebotomy blood draws for inpatient, outpatient and off site collection stations Shares on - call responsibilities Schedule, provide input for payroll and employee performance evaluations Communicate lab concerns to Clinical Manager and make suggestions for resolution Assume responsibility for helping the department achieve budget goals in accordance with the Clinical Manager. Maintain compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies including quality improvement training, safety compliance and competency in area of expertise Participation in major projects including space planning and department implementation of Laboratory Information System(s) in the area of expertise
More Specifically:
Greet patients and collect patient demographic and insurance information.
Validate and/or update the patient's demographic and insurance information i n a BILH computer system, for the majority of patients whose lab tests have already been ordered in a BILH computer system, and, for other patients, collect and accurately enter the patient's demographic information, insurance information and lab test orders into a BILH computer system,
Collect and process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, and if required freezing, and prepare specimens for transport to a BILH laboratory, and Follow daily site opening and closing procedures.

Pay Range:
$79,000.00 USD - $106,000.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
