We're seeking experienced Phlebotomists to teach Healthcare Sciences courses at charter school campuses throughout the San Antonio and New Braunfels area. This flexible 1099 independent contractor opportunity allows you to earn supplemental income while helping students prepare for rewarding careers in healthcare. Current teaching opportunities include semester-long Phlebotomy courses in San Antonio and New Braunfels, with an additional full-year Certified Medical Assistant course available in Windcrest. Candidates qualified to teach both Phlebotomy and CMA are highly encouraged to apply for additional instructional opportunities, although expertise in only one specialty is welcome.
No teaching certification is required. A comprehensive curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional resources are provided.

What You'll Do
Deliver engaging classroom instruction and hands-on phlebotomy training.
Prepare students for industry-recognized certifications and entry-level healthcare careers.
Utilize the provided curriculum while maintaining basic classroom documentation.
Mentor students by sharing practical knowledge and real-world experience.
What You Bring
Ideal candidates have experience as:
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
Phlebotomy Technician (PBT)
Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT)
National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCPT)
Minimum of 3 years of recent phlebotomy experience OR at least 1 year of phlebotomy instructional experience.
Active CPT (NHA), PBT (ASCP), RPT (AMT), NCPT (NCCT), or equivalent nationally recognized certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Teaching or mentoring experience preferred but not required.
Ability to successfully complete FBI fingerprinting/background screening.

New Braunfels Phlebotomy Semester Commitment (August 2026 December 2026)
Windcrest Certified Medical Assistant Full School Year Commitment (August 2026 May 2027)
Locations are within approximately 1535 miles of one another, creating opportunities for instructors interested in teaching multiple courses.

Typical class length: 1.5 hours
Most instructional commitments average approximately 3 hours per class session, including preparation and classroom responsibilities
Compensation
$86$96 per instructional session (based on experience and certifications)
