At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

We are looking for someone to apply their technicalexpertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positivelyimpactsafe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision isrequired!
As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will help lead solutions for various spaceflight systems engineering challenges working in Mission Engineering and Phase Systems Engineer. The planning for lunar systems operations is divided into a series of phases from initial systems deployment (launch to activation, refueling, etc) through the transit to initial lunar orbit, landing, and recovery of the crew back on orbit. The Phase Systems Engineer supports the Phase Leads developing Concepts of Operation (CONOPs) as well as identifying validation programs and development plan schedules to support the program's ambitious plans to launch the next generation of lunar landers, transfer cryogenic fuels at large scales between spacecraft, and transfer humans to the surface of the moon and back. These Phases all contain some of the top technical challenges critical to the success of the Lunar Program. You will work with systems engineers and multiple technical discipline engineers to review, coordinate, perform gap analysis, and manage data attributes for requirements, functions, technical performance measures, timelines, system models, interfaces, and other integrated data products across the end-to-end program life cycle. The Phase Integrators are Systems Thinkers who proactively involves themselves in the requirements, design and development of systems that are active across all mission phases. To be successful, experience with spacecraft systems engineering will be required.
This opportunity reports to the Mission Management and Integration Office (MMIO).

- Decompose user requirements into functional, physical, system, etc. and define key performance parameters.
- Support the integration and development of a risk reduction test program to include proposals for ground and flight testing to support the Concept of Operations
- Help drive planning for the verification and validation of external program interfaces, integrating with program V&V leadership in the Requirements, Verification, and Certification team.
- Review and provide inputs on integrated products such as the Master Equipment List and configuration models
- Maintain links and communicate authoritative source of information for Mission Systems Engineering and Integration
- Manage inputs to mission timeline and operational modeling tools
- Ensure high quality for product deliverables
- Identify tasks, trades, analyses and tests to be performed by technical team members in support of technical data integration
- Integrate with the other mission phase leads and the crew lander system integration & analysis team to ensure consistency and communication across technical data products
