Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician supports prescription processing and patient care services by managing new prescription orders and renewals, including controlled substances; answering inbound calls from patients, physicians, and healthcare staff; verifying patient identity using established protocols; documenting interactions in CPRS; and collaborating with pharmacists to ensure appropriate escalation of clinical or professional-scope inquiries. This role is responsible for resolving Veteran concerns with respect and dignity, supporting First Contact Resolution objectives, meeting national performance metrics, and maintaining required certifications and EHR access across all serviced sites to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant pharmacy operations.

Work Environment
100% remote or approved alternate work site required within a 50-mile radius of one of the designated VISN 22 facilities. Government furnished equipment provided: laptop, docking station, two monitors, keyboard, mouse, PIV card • No substitutions of key personnel during the first 90 days except for illness, death, or termination • Federal holidays observed per the VA holiday schedule; holiday coverage possible based on staffing needs. Remote, fast-paced healthcare operations environment. Supporting VA clinics and community care teams. Clinical Contact Center (call center prescription processing and patient support)

The pay range for this position is $25.37/hr.
