Pharmacy Technician 
Location: San Antonio, TX
Pay Rate: $18.60/hr
Position Type: Temporary Assignment (Onsite Training → Remote Opportunity Based on Performance)

 
Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician in Texas for a 100% Prescription Entry (data entry) role. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 months of pharmacy technician experience and be comfortable entering prescription information accurately while following pharmacy protocols and regulatory requirements.

New contingent workers will work onsite for approximately 4–6 weeks before transitioning to remote work, based on performance, productivity, and successful acclimation to the role.

Onsite interviews are required.

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Production Schedule
Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Collect and accurately enter prescription information while following pharmacy procedures and legal requirements.
• Process prescription data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist with insurance verification by contacting insurance providers and resolving coverage-related issues.
• Address questions regarding over-the-counter medications and provide guidance on non-prescription healthcare products.
• Process payments, manage cash register operations, and accurately handle financial transactions including copayments and insurance claims.
• Maintain front-end pharmacy inventory, including OTC medications and healthcare products.
• Provide patient education regarding OTC medications, including proper usage, dosage instructions, and potential side effects.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, patient confidentiality standards, controlled substance regulations, and prescription labeling requirements.
• Prioritize workflow, manage customer queues, and communicate effectively with pharmacy team members.
• Assist with training and mentoring less experienced pharmacy technicians when needed.
