Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawaiis only maternity newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawaiis leader in the care of women infants and children.
With 253 beds the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6000 babies a year and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care.
Over 1400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapiolani. The hospital is home to the Kapiolani Womens Center and the Womens Cancer Center and offers numerous community programs and services such as specialty pediatric clinics the Kapiolani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
The Pharmacy department is responsible for compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals supplies medications and large-to-small volume parenterals as well as providing drug information and education. We strive to ensure that our patients and clients receive safe and effective medication by applying the highest standards of modern pharmaceutical care.
As the Pharmacy Technician you will help to ensure that the Pharmacy department at Kapi'olani provides outstanding pharmaceutical knowledge and services to our patients and their families. You will fill routine orders compound various IVs and perform related technical and clerical duties for the department. We are looking for someone meticulous with strong organizational and communication skills attention to quality control and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'is people.
