This position will also serve as the primary point of contact with referral sources, physician's offices and patients/caregivers.\n \nThe anticipated pay range for this position is $24-$27 hourly.\n \nResponsibilities:\n\n Along with the specified job duties listed above, the position is required to maintain strict adherence to all Byram Healthcare policies and procedures as published and as amended from time to time. This adherence applies to all compliance and conformance plans, policies, codes of conduct, laws and regulations in effect.\n Process new referrals completely and accurately.\n Must be organized and be able to work with pharmacist to create and assure and efficient workflow and orders are timely and profitable.\n Communicate effectively and professionally with referral sources and patients.\n Verify all patient demographics including shipping address, pharmacy insurance coverage, allergy and medical conditions as necessary.\n Contact patients prior to their next order due date and process all patients' prescriptions; ensure prescriptions needed are current with refills and any authorizations necessary; verify ongoing pharmacy benefits for each customer; must insure accuracy of delivery address for customer every moth/ responsible for information patient of co-pay and attempt of collection prior to shipping order.\n Keep customer database current and accurate with order information, communications and activities as to be documents in patient notes.\n Identify and refer any clinical issues to the pharmacist for consultation.\n Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to practice proper phone etiquette.\n Call Center Technicians: Ability to answer hi-volume in-bound calls via an automated phone system. \n \n Ability to make outbound calls to patients and referrals as necessary.\n Respond quickly and professionally to customer telephone questions and concerns.\n Work closely with all departments within the organization as necessary to ensure efficient processing and delivery of customers' orders.\n Must be able to accurately fill patient prescription orders if asked by the pharmacist.\n Assist pharmacist with ordering and inventory as needed.\n Assist pharmacist with other duties requested for the normal everyday operation of the pharmacy which are granted to a pharmacy technician under existing state law.\n Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office.\n \nQualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function.\n \nEducation and/or Experience:\n\n High school diploma or equivalent;\n Experience in Third Party Claims processing;\n Knowledge in pharmacy operations and products utilized by our pharmacy;\n Knowledge in pharmacy regulations and documentation;\n Knowledge in pharmacy compliance issues;\n Knowledge in prescription authorization processes.\n Utah Pharmacy technician license active and in good standing.\n \nLanguage Skills:\n\n Ability to speak clearly and concisely via phone and in person.\n Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.\n Ability to communicate professionally with staff at all levels.\n Ability to explain issues professional and solve order problems when possible for staffs and customers.\n Ability to accommodate pharmacists' preferences and duties at all times.\n \nMathematical Skills: \n\n Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts. \n Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. \n Understanding of pharmaceutical calculations.\n \nReasoning Ability: \n\n Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited variation exists. \n Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule for regarding pharmacy workflow. \n Ability to utilize deductive reasoning skills.\n \nComputer Skills: \n\n Individual should have basic computer knowledge related to Pharmacy Operations. \n Must be able to fully learn and have thorough understanding of current pharmacy operating system. \n Must be able to learn other company operating systems as necessary to perform the duties of the job.\n \nCertificates, Licenses, Registration: \n\n Certified pharmacy technician with active UT license in good standing. National Certification Preferred. 20 Continuing Education credits as required every 2 years per the Utah State Board of Pharmacy.\n \nOther Skills and Abilities: \n\n Ability to handle multiple tasks in an every-changing environment. \n Good organizational skills required. \n Ability to work under deadlines.\n Basic pharmacology skills required. \n Must be able to perform inventory management while following inventory guidelines.\n \nPhysical Demands: \n\n The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
