Role Overview

Pharmacy Technicians are integral members of the pharmacy care team, supporting safe, effective, and timely medication services under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

You will:

  • Prepare, distribute, and store medications

  • Assist with IV admixtures and chemotherapy preparations

  • ️ Utilize automated and computerized dispensing systems

  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Once trained, teach and mentor other technicians

  • ️ Support administrative and operational pharmacy functions

Licensure & Certification

  • Active Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy licensure (Pharmacy Technician)

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (current)

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma (minimum age 18)

  • Minimum 1,000 hours as a Pharmacy Technician

  • 2+ years of hospital or related pharmacy experience preferred

(Exceptional aptitude may be considered in lieu of experience)

Schedule Highlights

  • Weekday shifts starting at 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m.

  • Rare evening coverage during vacation periods

  • Participation in on-call overnight rotation

  • Weekend rotation approximately every three weeks

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to work across multiple locations

  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required

Pay Range:

$24.50 - $32.97

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
