Pharmacy Technician I - Home Infusion

Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in the Materials area of the Home Infusion pharmacy.  The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for delivery ticket fulfillment, labeling and packaging medications orders and inventory management.

The Pharmacy Technician I will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives.

Location: Seven Lakes Pharmacy - 3650 Victoria St N Shoreview, MN

Schedule: 1.0FTE - Rotating 7:00AM-3:00PM, 8:00AM-4:00PM, 10:00AM-6:00PM. One weekend per month.

Job Expectations:

• Partner with nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their medication(s) and supplies accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner. 
• Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements.
• Coordinate the ordering and delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested.

Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:

Experience

Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program within one year of registering with state board OR one year of experience as a pharmacy clerk or like position within a healthcare setting.

License/Certification/Registration

Registered Technician with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy

Preferred

Education

• Graduate of Pharmacy Technician program
• Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program

License/Certification/Registration

• Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
