Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary: ​​The pharmacy technician coordinator is responsible for supervising pharmacy technicians including scheduling, work assignments, orientation, training, and evaluation of employees. He or she develops and implements strategies to optimize performance and departmental operations. The coordinator manages the day-to-day activities of the department’s technical staff, and provides leadership and direction for the entire pharmacy technical staff and participates in total quality management of the distributive functions of the department.​ 

What qualifications you will need:

  • Required Education: High School Graduate/Equivalent
  • Preferred Education: Associate or Bachelor Degree
  • Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years inpatient hospital experience
  • Preferred Experience: 6 months' experience in personnel management
  • Required License: Active Registered Pharmacy Technician as per State requirements and ACPE/ASHP/PTCB Compounded Sterile Products Certification or equivalent
