Pharmacy Records Support Specialist (Data Entry) Compensation

  • $18.00 per hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • 401(k) with company match is available after 1 year of service on eligibility dates

Pharmacy Records Support Specialist (Data Entry) Highlights

  • Contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Full-time: Monday–Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • On-site only in Cumberland, RI (5 days/week) — candidates must be local and have reliable transportation
  • No travel required
  • Office/call-center environment, but this assignment is primarily a support/admin function (no active call queue)

Pharmacy Records Support Specialist (Data Entry) Responsibilities

  • Support pharmacy/RX records processes by providing concise patient and prescription information in accordance with HIPAA
  • Perform accurate data entry into internal systems (training provided)
  • Open, sort, and organize incoming mail and correspondence
  • Enter receipts and documentation into internal systems
  • Maintain organized records and handle multiple tasks while working independently

Pharmacy Records Support Specialist (Data Entry) Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
  • Must understand the job is 100% on-site in Cumberland, RI and have reliable transportation
  • Strong alphanumeric data entry skills with attention to accuracy/quality
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer proficiency; experience with MS Outlook/Word/Excel 

Pharmacy Records Support Specialist (Data Entry) Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a healthcare, pharmacy, or insurance environment
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and/or third-party payer/insurance concepts (plus)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
