SUMMARY
: The purpose of the pharmacy cashier is to ensure the smooth and seamless service to pharmacy customers and ensure accurate point of sales

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Due to real and potential conflicts of interest that exist when HOPES Behavioral Health providers render services to their coworkers, it is HOPES' policy (Policy HR0005) that HOPES employees may not access HOPES Behavioral Health Services
For the same reason, current Behavioral Health patients/clients cannot be employed by HOPES
Accordingly, you hereby acknowledge and understand that if you are receiving services from a HOPES Behavioral Health provider at the time you are offered and accept employment with HOPES, you have the option of rescinding your acceptance of employment or finding a new behavioral health provider outside of HOPES before starting employment with HOPES
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required - Experience working in a busy healthcare environment preferred - Excellent customer service, communication and client relation skills - Must possess attention to detail, accuracy - Ability to use cash registers and be quick and accurate - Ability to work with a wide range of clients - Knowledge around verification of information required on prescriptions - Ability to answer the phone and take requests for prescription refills - Knowledge around processing confidential information and protecting patient privacy - Ability to prepare daily cash deposit and credit card transaction summaries - Bilingual English and Spanish required We are a Drug-Free Workplace and utilize E-Verify to confirm work eligibility
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
: Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Director, the Pharmacy Cashier is responsible for operating the cash register at the pharmacy, taking prescriptions from patients, handing completed orders to patients, recording shipments to the pharmacy and ringing up sales for patients
