PATIENT ACCESS CASE MANAGER - PHARMACY SERVICES | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Work from home – will be working in Central Time zone
- Payrate: $20/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Must be available to work any 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST
- Training schedule will be Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
- Training lasts approximately 4–6 weeks and virtual attendance is required
PATIENT ACCESS CASE MANAGER - PHARMACY SERVICES | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Patient Access Case Manager will support patients through the healthcare and specialty pharmacy process. In this role, you will help patients navigate insurance coverage, financial assistance programs, and pharmacy coordination while delivering compassionate, patient-focused service in a fast-paced environment. This is a fully remote opportunity with paid training and long-term growth potential for candidates interested in healthcare support, patient services, and case management.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
PATIENT ACCESS CASE MANAGER - PHARMACY SERVICES | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor patient accounts and manage new case assignments
- Contact patients regarding coverage approvals, denials, and pharmacy coordination
- Communicate with insurance providers to verify benefits and coverage details
- Support patients with questions regarding financial assistance and medication access
- Research alternative funding programs and patient eligibility options
- Maintain accurate documentation while speaking with patients and healthcare providers
- Resolve complex payer or pharmacy-related issues professionally and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and patient privacy regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide updates on patient cases
- Maintain high-quality customer service with empathy and professionalism
PATIENT ACCESS CASE MANAGER - PHARMACY SERVICES | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable); additional education preferred
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
- Previous healthcare, insurance, pharmacy or patient support experience required
- Prior authorization or appeals experience is highly preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask across multiple software systems while on calls
- Strong Microsoft Office and video conferencing experience
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Self-motivated with strong time management abilities
