Duration: 26 Weeks Contract
Shift & Schedule:
Flexible Shift – 5x8 hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
40 hours per week
Primarily Night Shift Coverage
Typical Hours: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Occasional 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM shifts
Every other weekend and holiday coverage required

Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacist for a 26-week travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
This role is ideal for a licensed hospital pharmacist with strong inpatient pharmacy experience, including medication dispensing, clinical order verification, and sterile compounding. The selected candidate will support safe and effective medication use throughout the hospital while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and institutional standards.
The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment, including overnight and rotating shift coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, dispense, and manage medications in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, dosing, and compatibility
Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, including IV admixtures and TPN
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation of all medications
Provide drug information and clinical support to physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff
Monitor and manage medication inventory across patient care units
Supervise and support pharmacy support personnel as needed
Ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and hospital pharmacy regulations
Perform medication order entry and clinical verification during evening and night shifts
Promote safe medication practices and adherence to hospital protocols
Respond to pharmacy-related clinical inquiries
Participate in medication safety and quality assurance initiatives
Perform additional pharmacy duties as assigned
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent program
Active Pharmacist license in Massachusetts (required)
Strong knowledge of inpatient hospital pharmacy operations
Experience in sterile compounding (IV/TPN) preferred
Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficient in English (read, write, and speak)
