Job Title: Pharmacist
Summary
PRN-Pharmacist
Possible Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8a -5p)
Essential Responsibilities
- Enforce pharmacy policies and procedures
- Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management
- Accountable for safe medication storage, diversion monitoring and other pharmacy inventory activities
- Resolve patient complaints and answer questions to ensure a positive patient experience
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable TJC standards and elements of performance (EPs)
- Participates in Quality Improvement-Quality Assurance programs, including the review of error reports , drug utilization reviews, and adverse drug event reporting.
Minimum Qualifications - Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college or university
- Current and unrestricted Florida Pharmacy License
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
- 2 years experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Excellent communication skills that will foster trust, clear vision, and mutual respect
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to resolve employee, client and patient issues with a strong service mentality
- Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop a plan of action to improve, implement and evaluate plan effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience opening a new pharmacy (preferred)
- Experience with Rx30 (preferred)
