A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist proficient in managing long-term care (LTC) pharmacy operations. This role emphasizes ensuring compliance with LTC regulations and enhancing medication management for nursing facilities within a closed-door pharmacy setting.
Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy operations to ensure adherence to CMS, DEA, and state board regulations specific to LTC settings. The role requires managing medication distribution workflows such as eMAR systems, cycle fills, and medication carts, while collaborating closely with consultant pharmacists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident care. Additionally, you will utilize LTC pharmacy systems including PrimeCare, DocuTrack, TCGRx, and Parata to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Deep understanding of LTC regulations, including CMS, DEA, and state board rules for nursing facilities
Prior experience in long-term care or closed-door pharmacy environments is required or strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with eMAR systems, cycle fills, medication carts, and LTC workflows
Proficiency with LTC pharmacy software such as PrimeCare, DocuTrack, TCGRx, and Parata
Effective collaboration skills with consultant pharmacists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Education & Licensure:
Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
Active Texas Registered Pharmacist license

This direct hire position offers a competitive annual salary between $135,000 and $150,000, commensurate with experience.
