Job Title: Pharmaceutical TechnicianJob Description

The Pharmaceutical Technician supports aseptic, terminally sterilized, polymer clean room, and non-aseptic pilot plant operations for pharmaceutical and polymer manufacturing across development, engineering, clinical-phase, and commercial activities. This role focuses on executing batch records, preparing complex solutions, operating production equipment, and maintaining strict compliance with GLP and GMP standards in a highly regulated laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate personal proficiency in aseptic technique with minimal supervision in cleanroom environments.
  • Accurately execute development, engineering, GLP, or GMP batch records while following strict, detailed instructions.
  • Perform complex, multi-step solution preparations with precision and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assemble and disassemble process equipment across multiple unit operations for extrusion, microsphere, liposome, or polymerization processes under direct supervision.
  • Operate PLC-controlled equipment with direct supervision, including adjusting set points as specified in batch records.
  • Use basic hand tools required for equipment operation, setup, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Execute in-process environmental monitoring activities under direct supervision to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Participate in the execution of Installation and Operational Qualifications (IOQs) with direct supervision to support equipment validation.
  • Carry out operational tasks by following established processes and working within defined settings and parameters.
  • Help install equipment and appliances by performing preparations and providing assistance while adhering to strict, detailed instructions.
  • Follow basic mandatory work instructions, including the correct use of personal protective equipment, to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Maintain accurate batch documentation and records in line with GLP and GMP requirements.
  • Perform routine tasks and equipment operations consistently and reliably to support ongoing manufacturing activities.

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique within pharmaceutical or cleanroom environments.
  • Ability to accurately execute GLP and GMP batch records and batch documentation.
  • Experience operating basic laboratory and production equipment and carrying out routine tasks.
  • Capability to follow strict, detailed instructions and established processes without deviation.
  • Skill in performing complex, multi-step solution preparations with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble process equipment for extrusion, microsphere, liposome, or polymerization processes under supervision.
  • Competence in operating PLC-controlled equipment and adjusting set points as directed.
  • Familiarity with in-process environmental monitoring procedures.
  • Understanding of GLP and GMP principles and their application in daily operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within defined settings and parameters.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively for equipment operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, polymer processing, or related laboratory environments.
  • Exposure to cleanroom operations and terminal sterilization processes.
  • Comfort working from detailed written procedures, work instructions, and batch records.
  • Ability to support equipment installation and qualification activities, including IOQs.
  • Commitment to safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Willingness to cross-train on new processes and equipment and to grow into additional responsibilities over time.

Work Environment

This role is based in a pharmaceutical laboratory that includes cleanroom facilities and controlled environments for aseptic and polymer manufacturing processes. The position follows a C Shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Work involves operating laboratory and production equipment, handling chemicals and solutions, and adhering to GLP and GMP standards. Team members follow mandatory work instructions and use appropriate personal protective equipment to maintain a safe, compliant workplace. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.75 - $26.75/hr.
