Pharmacy Floor Technician

Location: Marlborough, MA

Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM Mon-Fri (Rotating Weekends and Holidays)

Pay Rate: $18-$20/hr

Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you will be responsible for the accurate picking, labeling, and scanning of prescriptions to prepare them for final pharmacist verification. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that daily drug orders are filled efficiently while maintaining compliance with all safety and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment: Accurately fill daily drug orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Preparation & Packaging: Pull medications from shelving and pre-pack racks; manually package materials and products as needed.
• Quality Control: Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy; immediately alert the pharmacist of any scanning issues or discrepancies.
• Inventory Management: Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications during low-volume times; process returned drugs for recycling or disposal per standard procedures.
• Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of designated workstations and replenish stock supplies regularly.
• Compliance: Strictly follow departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, dress code, and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure: Must possess and maintain a Clear and Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License issued by the MA Board of Pharmacy.
• Skills: Ability to work at a moderate speed with high attention to detail.
• Communication: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician
• Lifting: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
