Pharmacy Floor Technician

Location: Burr Ridge, IL  Job Type: Full‑Time Shift: PM Shift (5:30 PM – 2:00 AM) Rotating Weekends: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM Schedule: May include overtime, holidays, and weekends Pay Rate: $17/hr

About the Role

The Pharmacy Floor Technician supports daily pharmacy operations by preparing prescriptions for pharmacist verification, maintaining medication inventory, and ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, label, scan, and prepare finished prescriptions for pharmacist verification
• Accurately and efficiently fill daily drug orders under pharmacist supervision
• Process returned medications and recycle/dispose of items per procedure
• Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store during low‑volume periods
• Manually package materials and products
• Pull/pick medications from shelving and storage areas
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy
• Notify the pharmacist of any product that does not scan properly
• Maintain workstation areas and replenish stock supplies
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work at a moderate, consistent pace
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Clear and active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the IL Board of Pharmacy
