Program Coordinator and Nursing Assistant Instructional Specialist
Salary Range: 90k to 95k Annually - Salary determination is based on experience.
Trinity Washington University is seeking a Program Coordinator and Instructional Specialist for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Pathway at the Ward 5 Advanced Technical Center (ATC), a high school dual enrollment program in the College of Arts & Sciences in consultation with the School of Nursing and Health Professions. Courses include Nursing 101 and Nursing 102.
The ATC Program Coordinator and Instructional Specialist for the CNA will teach these courses at the ATC's Penn Center, which is located at 1709 3rd St NE.
The Advanced Technical Center is a partnership with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) to provide DC high school students with the opportunity to complete dual enrollment pathways in Career and Technical Education fields such as health sciences and information technology.
The ATC Program Coordinator and Instructional Specialist for the CNA will support the CAS dual enrollment students, with a regular course load and clinical rotations each semester, as well participate in summer training opportunities.
This position is a full-time, all year around (12-month) professional staff position. ATC classes are held five days a week in a lecture/lab format. Responsibilities of the position include offering active and engaged instruction and significant hands-on learning experiences tailored to the needs the ATC student population; designing and delivering supplemental instruction for students needing additional support; playing an active role in instructional development; and assessing both student proficiency and student learning outcomes, using results to improve student placement and retention and continuously improve instruction.
