We are seeking a dedicated and organized Pet Groomer Manager to lead our grooming salon operations. In this role, you will be responsible for driving salon performance, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and fostering a safe, positive environment for both pets and staff. You will oversee a team of groomers, manage schedules, and provide expert-level grooming services.
Key Responsibilities
Salon Operations & Business Growth
- Manage day-to-day salon operations, including scheduling appointments to optimize capacity and revenue.
- Monitor key performance metrics such as salon revenue, partner productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage salon inventory, including ordering grooming supplies, shampoos, and equipment.
- Enforce all safety, sanitation, and operational policies to maintain a healthy workplace
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all levels of grooming staff and bathers.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to foster staff growth.
- Create efficient work schedules that balance employee availability with customer demand and peak hours.
Customer Service & Hands-On Grooming
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients; handle escalated customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Educate pet parents on proper at-home care, wellness services, and products.
- Perform expert-level grooming services—including bathing, brushing, clipping, and nail trimming—when necessary or required by client demand.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of management or leadership experience in a retail, sales, or pet service environment.
- Technical Skills: Proven dog grooming expertise across various breeds and coat types.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a sometimes wet and noisy environment.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Software: Comfortable using POS systems, scheduling software, and business management tools.
