Travel PET/CT Technologist (Nuclear Medicine Tech)
Location: New York
Pay: $3,200 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
Shifts vary: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
No weekends, no call, no holidays
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced PET/CT Technologist with strong Nuclear Medicine experience for a weekday-only assignment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing PET/CT imaging procedures, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging in a patient-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
Review patient history and physician orders prior to procedures
Educate patients on procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation
Perform PET/CT and nuclear medicine imaging procedures
Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Analyze imaging results and troubleshoot quality issues
Administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per protocol
Monitor patient condition and respond to changes as needed
Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately
Maintain inventory and ensure proper functioning of equipment
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience
Active New York State license (required)
PET/CT experience required
CT Certification required
Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and protocols
Certifications:
ARRT (CT)
NMTCB (CT) or CNMT certification
RT (NM) through ARRT accepted
BLS (AHA required)
Preferred Experience:
Experience with GE PET or Philips PET scanners
